If you have an Android phone loaded with versions between Android 6 and Android 11, you can install Android Auto to help you control your car's infotainment system. There's also a mapping app to help you in your travels.
Multiple Connection Options: You can connect your Android phone to your car either via USB cable or via Bluetooth pairing. Both your phone and your car must be on and your car in park. Once you have completed the USB pairing, you can use Bluetooth in the future.
Once Android Auto is installed and your phone mounted, you can easily:
- make calls via voice command
- ask for music via voice command
- enjoy turn by turn driving instructions
- get weather updates
Your Android Auto tool is designed to get hands-free data and phone access. Google Maps is supported, as is the Waze App.
Limitations to Consider: Android versions 12 and up do not support Android Auto, though voice commands through your car's Bluetooth pairing are readily available.
